The main GPS Gold Challenge events will be held at Newington College on Saturday 12 October 2024.
The rowing, golf, soccer and shooting competitions will be conducted the day before on Friday 11 October.
The GPS Gold Challenge is run as a “double header” with Old Boys from both the leaving classes of 1991 and 1992 participating in separate competitions. There will be ten competitive events – Golf, Shooting, Rowing, Tennis, Touch Rugby, Indoor Cricket, Athletics, Swimming, Basketball and Debating.
The Challenge culminates with the Closing Dinner on the Saturday night when the debate competition will be conducted and the trophies awarded to the winning schools. This dinner is a lot of fun and should not be missed.

All Saturday events to take place somewhat in sequence so that people can participate in more than one event during the day.
Cost:
•$130.00 for the Golf includes green fees and post game snacks. Post match drinks will operate on a cash bar arrangement,
•$120.00 for the Saturday which includes your school competition shirt and entry into as many events as you like as well as entry to the Rowing on Friday.
•$160.00 for the Closing Dinner, includes a three course meal, presentation of the Gold Challenge photos on the big screen, beer and wine with entertainment provided by the debate. A fabulous night and a fitting finish to the two days of competition.
PLEASE NOTE
1) The entry fees assist in offsetting the operational costs of running the Gold Challenge – insurances, venue hire, photographer, dinner costs, stationary, postage and other administration costs.
2) Corporate sponsorship will also benefit the Gold Challenge by helping to reduce operational costs. If you as an individual, or the company you work for, are in a position to sponsor an event, or consider sponsoring the overall GPS Gold Challenge, the organisers would love to have your support. 3) Donations will benefit the Gold Challenge’s chosen charity, Redkite. These are tax deductible and may be made by either nominating an amount on the Registration Form or by going to Redkite’s website www.redkite.org.au. This site will also provide you with information about the work that Redkite does in assisting children, and the families with children, suffering with cancer.
